Cattle buying interest was very limited on Friday with just a few head reported sold in Iowa at 122.00. DTN reported packers were showing very few signs of last minute hunger. While it looks like buyers are short bought, processing margins have clearly taken a hit this week thanks to near steady cattle costs and significant pressure on wholesale beef. The weekly kill was estimated by 574,000 head, 19,000 less than last week, but 27,000 greater than last year.
