A survey of Iowa soybean farmers indicates adoption of conservation practices, including the planting of cover crops, spiked in 2016. According to the Iowa Soybean Association (ISA), it’s further proof that momentum is building behind the state’s nutrient reduction strategy.
ISA says the annual survey of 321 soybean farmers, conducted by West Des Moines-based Blue Compass on behalf of ISA, also affirms the willingness of producers to participate in multiple conservation practices and monitor their effectiveness.
