Governor Mark Dayton has announced a new goal to improve water quality in Minnesota 25 percent by the year 2025.
Dayton says this proposal would not add new regulations, but instead drive public engagement and partnerships to address water quality challenges across the state.
The goal is said to be flexible, allowing each of Minnesota’s eight local watershed regions to decide which pollutants to address, and strategies to employ.
