Rural Finance Authority bill advancing through Legislature

The Democratic Farmer Labor (DFL) Lead on the House Ag Finance Committee says a bill that provides funds to the Rural Finance Authority (RFA) is quickly progressing through the Minnesota Legislature.
Representative Jeanne Poppe tells Brownfield the legislation was included in last year’s failed Bonding Bill, so funding was halted at the end of 2016.
“The lenders don’t have access to the funds (so) the farmers don’t have access to those funds at this point.
