The average monthly price Minnesota farmers receive for corn is improving, but remains below year-ago levels.
USDA’s National Ag Statistics Service says corn averaged $3.21 per bushel in December, up 11 cents from the prior month.
However, the average price is 22 cents lower than December 2015.
Soybean prices during December averaged $9.28 per bushel.
That’s three cents above the November price, and 74 cents higher than the same period a year ago.
