Twelve Michigan Milk Producers Association (MMPA) members were recognized by the National Mastitis Council with National Dairy Quality Awards.
MMPA members took one platinum, nine gold and two silver awards this year. Over the last five years, premium payments from the cooperative to members have increased by almost 40 percent.
Forty-four farms from across the country were recognized with National Dairy Quality Awards. Farms are selected based on their milk quality measures, and overall herd health and welfare.
