The director of the Illinois Pork Producers Association is telling members to be relevant and spread the good economic news. Executive Director Jennifer Tirey tells Brownfield at the 2017 Illinois Pork Expo that educating consumers – throughout the entire state is the goal, “They may not have farms in their districts for legislative purposes but yet the end product, our pork, is being sold in those counties and we have a HUGE economic boost for the state of Illinois.” Urban legislators have been invited and will meet with producers at the reception tonight.
