This week’s cattle showlists were distributed on Monday and ready numbers appear to be generally smaller than last week, especially in Texas. Asking prices are not well defined with many feedlot managers confused by the wide spread between country sales and the sharply discounted futures. The cattle kill was estimated at 115,000 head, even with last week, but 4,000 more than a year ago.
