A Michigan crop farmer says despite low commodity prices he’s not planning to cut back on management practices.
Scott Lonier with Shady Lodge Farm in Lansing tells Brownfield he can’t afford to skimp on inputs but he is looking into ways to use better products and their placement. “We’re not planning on cutting back, we’re actually investing and investing in technology in order for placement”
Lonier says after listening to a consultant at the Great Lakes Crop Summit he’s now reconsidering his crop insurance coverage options.
