USDA Mandatory reported cattle trading and demand was moderate in Nebraska on Thursday. The dressed trade was 1.00 lower than last week at 194.00. In Colorado trading and demand was light, with live sales 2.00 lower at 120.00. In the Southern Plains trade and demand was moderate. Kansas live sales were steady at 122.00. The Texas Panhandle sold cattle steady to 1.00 lower at 122.00.
The cattle slaughter was estimated at 113,000 head, 1,000 less than last week, but 1,000 more than last year.
