DuPont says it needs more time to close its merger with Dow Chemical company. Bloomberg reports a DuPont statement released Tuesday says the deal is now most likely to be completed by the end of June, three months later than it previously expected. Regulators have to approve the deal inside and outside the U.S., as they do for other pending ag company mergers.
Bloomberg says DuPont’s CEO assured shareholders that it can address antitrust concerns about the merger’s effect on crop chemical innovation.
