Six students are interning at Indiana Farm Bureau this summer. This year’s interns include:
TAYLOR CLARK – Law clerk
Taylor Clark of Winamac, Indiana, will be a third-year law student at the University of Nebraska College of Law. She previously attended Purdue University with dual degrees in agribusiness commodity marketing and financial counseling and planning.
Clark showed cattle her grandparents raised on their farm and pigs for 10 years in 4-H as well as goats for a few years. She also was involved in Junior Leaders. She was in FFA all four years of high school and attended the National Convention in Indianapolis her junior and senior years. In her free time, Clark enjoys cooking, spending time with family, walking and biking outside. 
CHRISTINA FRASER – Law clerk
Christina Fraser of Chardon, Ohio, will be a third-year JD candidate at Penn State University Dickinson Law. She earned a degree in agricultural and consumer economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Fraser showed rabbits and poultry projects in Ohio 4-H for 10 years. She also is an American Quarter Horse Association member and exhibitor. Fraser previously served as a legal intern at Maatuka Al-Heeti Emkes, LLC; an intern at the Natural Resources Conservation Service; and is the co-founder and president of Illini Barbell. In her free time, Fraser enjoys going to the gym and riding her horse.
Nora Howat – Education intern
Nora Howat of Bedford, Indiana, is a rising senior at Purdue University studying agricultural education. She is a member of the Indiana Association of Agricultural Educators Purdue chapter. Howat was a 10-year 4-H member in Lawrence County. She previously served as a program assistant at Purdue Extension Lawrence County. In her free time, Howat enjoys reading, cooking, crafts and hiking.
NATALIE CARTMEL – Marketing intern
Natalie Cartmel of Noblesville, Indiana, recently graduated from Indiana University with a degree in media advertising and a minor in creative technologies in art and design. At IU, she was creative director for the Indiana Daily Student Newspaper, an intern for the Media School Communications team, and was a teaching assistant for Content Creation. Cartmel also was a volunteer for IU Dance Marathon and a student researcher through The Center of Excellence for Women in Technology. Cartmel has a black cat named Juniper and in her free time she loves to crochet and play video games on her Nintendo Switch.
KYRA MEISTER – Public policy intern
Kyra Meister of Hope, Indiana, is a rising senior studying agricultural economics at Purdue University. At school, Meister is involved with the Purdue Ag Week Task Force and Ag Econ Envoys. The daughter of Dan and Joanna Meister grew up on an alpaca farm, which served as a hobby. It taught her siblings and her to maintain a barn and care for livestock. Meister said it was during her four years of FFA in high school that she found a true passion for ag. Meister was a field specialist intern at Advanced Agrilytics, and last summer was a policy and communications intern with Indiana Corn and Soy. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outside at bonfires, hunting or fishing.
ELLA CARLSON – Youth engagement intern
Ella Carlson of Westfield, Indiana, will be a junior at Oklahoma State University, majoring in agricultural communications. The daughter of Sally and John Carlson, she was a 10-year 4-H member in Tippecanoe County where she showed swine and participated in Fashion Revue. She was Miss Tippecanoe County 1st runner-up in her 10th year. She also was an FFA member that held chapter officer positions for two years and competed at state and national conventions for three years in various events. Her family continues to raise and show swine.
