The Hoosier Farmer

After spending last summer interning with the public policy team, Erica McWhirt is joining the field operations staff. As field operations coordinator, McWhirt will provide key support to the field operations team and assist with projects across additional areas as needed. She is currently part time but will transition into a full-time position following graduation.

McWhirt is a senior at Purdue University and is completing two degrees – agribusiness and law and society. In West Lafayette, she is involved with the Purdue Cooperative Council.

Her family raises Boer goats in Frankfort. They also have a produce business, where McWhirt manages a three-acre garden and assists with sales and marketing. In 2016, she founded Dream Team Show Goats with her sister.
