The Hoosier Farmer

Allen County’s Miller elected to INFB Board of Directors

Mar 30, 2026 by INFB Marketing

Indiana Farm Bureau has welcomed Tom Miller of Allen County to the INFB board of directors. Miller serves as director for District 2, which includes Allen, DeKalb, Elkhart, Kosciusko, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben and Whitley counties.

Miller has been active in agriculture his entire life and has worked in agribusiness for over 40 years with duties ranging from sales to upper management. He has been an active member of Allen County Farm Bureau, serving as president from 2020 to 2025 and vice president from 2016 to 2020.

"I'm honored to serve on the INFB board of directors representing District 2," said Miller. "My goal is to bring the voices of northeast Indiana's agricultural community to the INFB board. I believe we each have a responsibility to our community and industry to ensure agriculture's voice is truly collective and representative of everyone involved."

Miller grew up on a small livestock farm in Dearborn County, where he was active in 4-H as a student. He graduated from Purdue University, where he studied agricultural economics, before moving to Allen County to begin his career as a crop salesman with Allen County Co-op, which later became Ag Plus. Throughout his career, he has worked with agricultural producers of all sizes, advising on topics ranging from basic crop budgets to estate planning.

Miller is committed to farm safety. During his time as Allen County Farm Bureau president, Miller organized a program focused on grain bin rescue in partnership with local Allen County fire departments. He also has completed numerous continuing education agriculture classes and was in the first class to earn a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) license in the state of Indiana.

“I am thrilled to welcome Tom to the INFB board of directors,” said INFB President Randy Kron. “His background in agribusiness and leadership as Allen County Farm Bureau’s former county president demonstrates his dedication to amplifying the voice of Hoosier farmers and protecting our rural communities.”

Miller and his wife, Denise, live in New Haven, Indiana. They have two daughters and five grandchildren. He is also a member of Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in New Haven.
