INFB connects with consumers and youth during 2025 state fair

Sep 25, 2025, 11:36 by INFB Marketing Team

The Indiana State Fair State Fair is an opportunity for Indiana Farm Bureau to connect to both consumers and youth, and 2025 was no exception.

Nearly 13,000 fairgoers visited Taste From Indiana Farms (TFIF), INFB’s largest consumer event, which was held at the Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion. In comparison, 2024’s TFIF attendance totaled just under 9,800.

TFIF, which was held Aug. 7-10, is coordinated by the INFB INFB Women’s Leadership Committee Leadership Committee. More than 150 volunteers (which included members and INFB staff) helped at the event, handing out samples of food produced in Indiana, including applesauce, carrots, popcorn, chocolate milk (donated by Kemps), lamb summer sausage (donated by the Indiana Sheep Association), pork rinds (donated by Manley Meats) and honey candy.

INFB continued its support of the 4-H youth livestock competitions at the 2025 fair, held Aug. 1-17. The organization was the presenting sponsor of the Exhibitor Experience for livestock exhibitors and all showmanship contests, awarding a variety of prizes for all livestock species.

INFB sponsored the 4-H Supreme Drive, which recognizes Indiana’s top 4-H dairy cattle, Boer goats, breeding ewes and breeding gilts, on Aug. 10, as well as the 4-H Supreme Showmanship competitions on Aug. 17.

As the presenting sponsor, INFB also provided an exhibitor experience on Aug. 1-3 on the upper floor of the INFB Fall Creek Pavilion for livestock exhibitors to relax and engage with each other through games and activities. A hat bar, where exhibitors could choose iron-on patches to customize hats, was offered Aug. 1.

INFB’s dedication to youth in agriculture extends beyond the fair. There are several opportunities for youth to be involved in INFB, with scholarships for graduating seniors and college students; Collegiate Farm Bureau Farm Bureau chapters at Purdue, Huntington and Vincennes universities; FFA advocacy days and trainings; grants for FFA chapters and 4-H clubs; and leadership development events, competitions, awards and conferences.

Since 1919, Indiana Farm Bureau has worked to protect agriculture and the rural way of life. We do that by listening to our members, advocating for policies that support farmers and providing resources that help families and communities thrive.
