Ninety-one county Farm Bureaus participated in Indiana Farm Bureau’s 2025 policy development process, which culminates Saturday, Aug. 16, at INFB’s annual delegate session.

More than 60 counties submitted new policies, and these addressed issues at the American Farm Bureau, INFB, internal and local levels.

Based on policy submissions from the counties as well as discussions with local leaders, the following topics are expected to be discussed by delegates:

• Taxes – The 2025 Indiana General Assembly approved sweeping changes to property tax and local income structure. These changes, however, sunset in 2027.
• Water – INFB’s priority goal of implementing water protections for farmers was approved by the General Assembly, but the organization continues to advocate for additional funding for groundwater well monitoring and a statewide water management plan.
• Farmland preservation.
• Energy reliability.
• Economic development and where future development should be located.
• Food supply chain and food security.
• Local control vs. private property rights.
