Spring is just around the corner, which means it’s almost time for INFB’s annual Spring Conference. The conference will be held at the Indianapolis Marriott East on March 9 and 10.

New this year are two early-bird sessions on Friday, March 9:  an Ag in the Classroom volunteer mini workshop and a bonus breakout session called “Let’s Get Connected.”

Also on Friday will be a screening of the movie Food Evolution with a panel discussion to follow. Food Evolution is a new film that depicts how easily misinformation, confusion and fear can overwhelm objective analysis, especially when it comes to food.

The conference itself opens on Friday evening for dinner and a keynote address from Paige Pratt, doctor of animal sciences, grassroots development specialist for Virginia Farm Bureau Federation and owner-operator of Pratt Cattle Company, with her husband Jason and his parents. 

March 10 is full of breakout sessions and a keynote address from Michele Payn, CSP, advocate for global agriculture and author of Food Truths from Farm to Table.

Attendees can also enjoy live and silent auctions, bingo, vendor showcase and presentations from INFB’s ACE (Agricultural Cultural Exchange) ambassadors. The auctions will benefit the Farm Bureau Foundation for the Carolyn Hegel Memorial Scholarship fund.  Conference attendees are encouraged to bring an item for this great cause. An alternative is to write a check directly to the Farm Bureau Foundation.

The deadline to register is March 2.
