(Indianapolis) – April 21, 2026 – Indiana Farm Bureau recently awarded five scholarships to incoming or current college students pursuing careers in agriculture.

The Ag Impact Scholarships, which highlight applicants who demonstrate a lasting effect on Indiana agriculture, were awarded to three recipients who each received a $2,000 scholarship.

The Ag Impact Scholarship program is designed to focus on the applicant’s current involvement, future commitment, and potential impact in agriculture as well as academic and career potential. All applicants must have been graduating high school seniors. The scholarship funds can be applied to tuition, housing, books or other educational expenses.

The three recipients of the 2026 Ag Impact Scholarship are listed below:

  • Jaylynn Goodwin, of Dubois County, will graduate from Southridge High School this spring and attend Kansas State University in the fall to study agricultural and natural resources communications. Goodwin serves as her local chapter’s FFA president, Indiana FFA’s District X president, and is completing her 10th year in 4-H. She’ll be graduating in the top 10% of her class and looks forward to pursuing a future career in journalism and media marketing.

  • Gage Mull, of Jackson County, will graduate from Brownstown Central High School and attend Purdue University in the fall to study animal science and veterinary medicine. He has been involved in his local FFA chapter for four years and 4-H for ten years. Mull’s goal is to own and operate a veterinary practice in a rural community facing a shortage of large animal veterinarians. He hopes to focus primarily on horses, cattle and hogs, while remaining prepared to serve small animals as needed to meet community demands.

  • Branson Tennery, of Hendricks County, will graduate from Danville Community High School this spring and attend Purdue University in the fall where he will study insect biology with plans to become a conservation biologist specializing in agricultural ecosystems. He’s a 10-year 4-H member, FFA chapter president, Spanish Club president and participated on the varsity swim team for two years. His ultimate career goal is to promote biological pest management methods that reduce reliance on harmful chemicals while protecting yields.

“Indiana Farm Bureau congratulates our scholarship winners,” said INFB President Randy Kron. “This generation of students shows so much promise and potential for the future of agriculture. I’m happy to see the passion for careers in agriculture remains strong in Indiana and that’s thanks to young people like these.”

Additionally, two $1,000 scholarships are offered to members of any of the Collegiate Farm Bureau chapters – Purdue, Vincennes, and Huntington universities. This year, Camille Thopy and Tatem Hodge, both from Shelby County, received the Collegiate Farm Bureau scholarships. Both attend Purdue University pursuing degrees in agricultural education, while Thopy also is working toward a certificate in agricultural leadership and professional development.

Many county Farm Bureaus also offer annual scholarships for students in their area. To learn more, visit www.infb.org and visit the Scholarships and Grants page under the Resources tab.
