Boone County farmer and business owner Don Lamb was elected to the Boone County Council in a caucus on Tuesday, February 13. He credits Indiana Farm Bureau with inspiring him to run for the open seat. Lamb and his wife, Jodie, came up through the ranks at Farm Bureau and won INFB's Young Farmer Achievement Award in 1997. He currently serves as the Boone County Farm Bureau vice president.

It was an opportunity for the women to talk about the organization's 2018 legislative priorities - protecting farmers and their operations; strengthening rural quality of life, limiting annexation and ensuring assessment uniformity - and how these issues affect them personally.
