Apr 25, 2024, 11:35 AM by Kathleen M. Dutro, INFB Marketing Team

Winners have been announced for the 2024 Ag Impact Scholarships, a new program introduced this year.

The program is designed to focus on the applicant’s current involvement, future commitment and potential impact in agriculture as well as academic and career potential.

Each of the three recipients will receive a $2,000 scholarship. Applicants must be high school seniors and must have been INFB members, or have immediate family who has been an INFB member, for the past three consecutive years.

The winners are:

  • Lauryn Merritt, Miami County, Maconaquah High School. Merritt intends to major in agriculture education and agriculture ministry at Huntington University.
  • Anna Minich, LaPorte County, South Central Jr-Sr High School. Minich will be attending South Dakota State University and will major in animal science.
  • Alexa Newby, Putnam County, South Putnam High School. Newby is planning to major in landscape architecture at Purdue University.

Applications for INFB scholarships are now closed but will reopen in early 2025. To learn more about the requirements, visit www.infb.org/scholarships.
