Introducing Max Gee and Conner Smith: Two new regional managers join INFB staff

May 1, 2023, 08:38 AM by Kathleen M. Dutro, INFB Marketing Team

Two new regional managers have recently joined the staff of Indiana Farm Bureau.

Max Gee became a regional manager in February and now serves county Farm Bureaus in Gibson, Perry, Pike, Posey, Spencer, Warrick and Vanderburgh counties.

Conner Smith started in March and serves Hamilton, Hancock, Henry, Madison, Marion and Wayne counties.

As regional managers, Gee and Smith act as liaisons between county Farm Bureaus and the state organization and assist the counties with leadership development, event planning and community outreach activities. They also assist members and county Farm Bureaus in building positive relationships with local, state and national officials.

Prior to joining the INFB staff, Gee was a grant analyst at Federal Home Loan Bank. Before that, he served as a regional transportation planner for the Green River Area Development District in Kentucky.

He has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Southern Indiana and is an ordained minister and a licensed auctioneer.

A native of Kentucky, Gee now lives in Evansville with his wife, Hannah, who will graduate in May from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Evansville and begin her psychiatry residency in Vincennes in July.

His hobbies include going to yard sales, auctions, antique malls, flea markets and thrift stores, and he also enjoys hunting, fishing and reading.

Smith was a math teacher at Warren Central and Decatur Central high schools prior to joining INFB. He enjoys coaching and has volunteer-coached several high school football teams since 2018, including Decatur, Warren Central and Roncalli.

He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Valparaiso University, where he played Division 1 football, and a master’s in education from the University of St. Francis in Fort Wayne.

He lives in Indianapolis, which is his hometown, and his hobbies include following a variety of sports at both the collegiate and professional levels and spending time with friends and family.
