Indiana Farm Bureau Book of the Year

The goal of the Indiana Farm Bureau Book of the Year program is to provide Indiana county Farm Bureaus and Agriculture in the Classroom volunteers with additional tools to promote agriculture literacy and further the mission of our Agriculture in the Classroom program.

  • Educator Guide
  • Classroom Bundle: INFB members can find classroom bundles on the INFB Promotional store: Bundles contain 25 INFB Book of the Year bookmarks, one INFB Book of the Year fact sheet, one INFB Book of the Year poster, additional bookmarks and one poster from the Dairy Association of Indiana.
  • Book of the Year Toolkit: Contains a variety of resources for county volunteers to use including trivia wheels, a recipe brochure, virtual reading guidelines, donation guidelines and more!

BOTY Selection Process

Each year, the INFB Women’s Leadership Committee evaluates several books and sends three or four titles to the Book of the Year selection committee for consideration. The selection committee is made up of five experienced, enthusiastic Agriculture in the Classroom volunteers and educators. The selection committee uses a scoring rubric to evaluate each book received.

If you have a book you would like the committee to review, please reach out to one of the INFB Women’s Leadership Committee members or the INFB education coordinator.
