(Indianapolis) – Nov. 20, 2023 – Hoosiers can give back this holiday by purchasing the Indiana Farm Bureau special recognition license plate, which benefits the Farm Bureau Foundation, supporting youth education programming in Indiana.

INFB launched its special group recognition license plate in 2019 to mark the organization’s 100th anniversary. Upon purchase, $25 of the $40 license plate fee goes to the Farm Bureau Foundation. The remaining $15 is a BMV administration fee. To-date, the INFB license plate has generated over $41,000 for the Farm Bureau Foundation.

“Ag education is integral to the future of the farming industry,” said INFB President Randy Kron. “The Farm Bureau Foundation gives youth the opportunity to understand more about the food they eat, where it’s grown and how important farmers are to their daily lives. ”

The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles states there must be a minimum of 500 plates on the road at any given time to keep the plate active.

“We are proud of the funds we have raised for the Farm Bureau Foundation over the past three years,” said Debra DeCourcy, APR, INFB executive director of marketing. “We want to continue this momentum and make sure our plate always remains an available option for Hoosiers.”

In addition to supporting youth education in Indiana, the INFB license plate helps build brand awareness for the organization.

“INFB members and other supporters of agriculture are seen with the plate on their vehicle as they drive throughout the state and even across the country,” said DeCourcy. “That’s great for a nonprofit like us, as we’re always looking to generate awareness and support for Hoosier farmers.”

The INFB license plate can be purchased from the BMV website ( www.IN.gov/BMV), any BMV Connect kiosk, or BMV branches and partial service providers. The plate can be ordered at any time throughout the year.

More information can be found online at www.infb.org/INFB-license-plate.
