Indiana Farm Bureau is accepting applications for representatives to the Young Farmers & Ag Professionals State Committee for two-year terms beginning at the end of 2026.

Applications are due March 30 and are open to young farmer and ag professional members who reside in:

• District 2 – Allen, DeKalb, Elkhart, Kosciusko, Lagrange, Noble, Steuben and Whitley counties.
• District 4 – Adams, Blackford, Grant, Howard, Huntington, Jay, Miami, Tipton, Wabash and Wells counties.
• District 6 – Delaware, Hamilton, Hancock, Henry, Madison, Marion, Randolph and Wayne counties.
• District 8 – Bartholomew, Brown, Decatur, Fayette, Franklin, Johnson, Rush, Shelby and Union counties.
• District 10 – Clark, Dearborn, Floyd, Harrison, Jackson, Jefferson, Jennings, Ohio, Ripley, Scott, Switzerland and Washington counties.

The purpose of the YF&AP State Committee is to surface and develop agricultural leaders and to advise INFB staff and leadership on programming that will engage more young farmers and ag professionals in the organization. State Committee members represent their district's voice at the state and national level, have opportunities for leadership development, and are part of the organization’s mentorship and relationship building.

“Last year, the State Committee continued to build their leadership skills through trainings in social media, public speaking, advocacy, and volunteered at Taste From Indiana Farms at the state fair,” said Dustin Homan, INFB leadership development coordinator. “To cap off an impactful year, second-year members traveled to Washington, D.C., where they advocated for Farm Bureau policy priorities while exploring our nation’s capital.”

Members of the YF&AP State Committee must be 38 years of age or younger at the time their service term begins in December.
