Indiana Farm Bureau is now accepting applications for its scholarship program that supports students, members and county Farm Bureaus in advancing agricultural education and community outreach. The deadline to apply is March 1.
INFB awards three Ag Impact Scholarships to graduating high school seniors who plan to pursue careers in agriculture. The recipients will each receive a $2,000 scholarship for demonstrating significant involvement in 4-H and/or FFA programs, as well as leadership experience. The applicant must be a high school senior and must have been an INFB member, or have immediate family who has been an INFB member, for the past three consecutive years.
INFB also offers two $1,000 Collegiate Farm Bureau scholarships annually. Winners of these scholarships must be members of an INFB collegiate chapter at either Purdue, Vincennes or Huntington universities. All INFB scholarship funds may be applied to tuition, housing, books and other educational expenses.
The INFB Career Enrichment Scholarship is awarded to an adult (21 years or older) who intends on enriching their career. The scholarship may be used for a workshop, seminar, credit or non-credit class or degree program. This is a $1,000 scholarship and funds will be distributed upon proof of financial expenditures.
In addition to INFB, numerous county Farm Bureaus and districts offer annual scholarships for students in their area. To apply for a scholarship or learn more about the requirements, visit www.infb.org/scholarships.
