INFB Members, Counties Honored for Efforts to Grow Membership Base

During a reception held for award winners at the Indiana Farm Bureau State Convention in French Lick, Farm Bureau members were honored for their efforts to promote membership in the organization.

(FRENCH LICK, IN) – Dec. 10, 2021 – During a reception held for award winners at the Indiana Farm Bureau State Convention in French Lick, Farm Bureau members were honored for their efforts to promote membership in the organization. County Farm Bureaus also were recognized for exemplary membership retention and growth achievements.

The Top Performer award is presented to INFB volunteers who sign 10 or more new voting members during the program year, and the Premier Performer award is presented to the volunteer who signed the highest number of voting members for the organization.

This year’s Premier Performer is Jan Uhlmansiek of Dearborn County. This is the second year in a row Uhlmansiek has won this award, signing 11 new voting members who are actively involved in agriculture.

Two volunteers, including Uhlmansiek, were honored as Top Performers this year. Matt Maxwell from Porter County was the other recipient, bringing in 10 new voting members during the 2021 program year.

The District Defender award was presented to county Farm Bureaus who retain 96% or more of the voting members in their county and recruit the most new members. This year’s winners were Pulaski County, District 1; Allen County, District 2; Tippecanoe County, District 3; Adams County, District 4; Morgan County, District 5; Wayne County, District 6; Knox County, District 7; Johnson County, District 8; Gibson County, District 9; and Washington County, District 10.

The Superior Defender award, presented to the county that hit the retention mark and whose volunteer members signed the highest number of new memberships, went to Allen County Farm Bureau. Allen County retained 96.09% of voting members from 2020.
