(Indianapolis) – Nov. 1, 2021 – In the week leading up to the 2021 Indiana Farm Bureau State Convention, INFB will offer a series of webinars intended to provide farmers and agricultural professionals with information on some of agriculture’s most important issues.

“The pre-convention webinars allow INFB to provide more breakout sessions and informational opportunities for our members,” said Randy Kron, INFB president. “We understand that not everyone may be able to attend convention in person this year due to limited attendance, which is a result of COVID safety precautions. These virtual events are a great way for everyone to learn more about subjects that are impacting Hoosier agriculture.”

The pre-convention webinar topics include:

  • Climate & Sustainability – Monday, Dec. 6, 6-8 p.m. ET
    • This session will offer information on the ongoing and latest developments on climate and carbon markets, an agency panel on wetlands and waterways, and a discussion of landowner considerations on developing wind and solar.
  • Rural Relevance – Tuesday, Dec. 7, 6-8 p.m. ET
    • Topics to be covered include economic development, diversified agriculture and broadband.
  • Voices of Agriculture – Wednesday, Dec. 8, 6-8 p.m. ET
    • Industry leaders will be featured in an “Outlook for Agriculture” panel. There also will be a live Q&A with Indiana ag executives and a discussion of the 2022 INFB policy priorities with INFB President Randy Kron.

All three sessions can be viewed online at the scheduled time, and a recording also will be available for viewing later at www.infb.org/events. The pre-convention webinars are free for INFB members and $20 per session for non-members.

For more information and to register, go to www.infb.org/events.
