(Indianapolis) – December 11, 2020 – Earlier today at Indiana Farm Bureau’s virtual annual convention, three Farm Bureau members were honored for their efforts to promote membership in the organization. County Farm Bureaus also were recognized for exemplary membership retention and growth achievements.

The Premier Performer award is presented to the INFB volunteer who signs the highest number of voting members for the organization during the program year and the Top Performer award is presented to any volunteer who signs 10 or more new voting members.

This year three volunteers were honored with the Premier Performer award. Jan Uhlmansiek of Dearborn County, Karen Duckworth of Morgan County and Matt Maxwell of Porter County all signed 12 new voting members this year. Uhlmansiek, Maxwell and Duckworth are also this year’s Top Performer award winners.

“Our members are our biggest advocates and our best resource for attracting new members,” said Randy Kron, INFB president. “The volunteers awarded for their efforts to sign new members are very passionate about our organization. They share the value of Farm Bureau in their conversations with neighbors, friends and the people they network with in the agriculture community, ultimately growing our membership base.”

County Farm Bureaus also were recognized for their efforts in retaining and growing INFB membership. The Superior Defender award, presented to the county that retained at least 96% of their voting membership from the previous year and whose volunteer members signed the highest number of new memberships, went to Kosciusko County Farm Bureau.

The District Defender award was presented to county Farm Bureaus who retain 96% or more of the voting members in their county and recruit the most new members. This year’s winners are: Pulaski County, District 1; Kosciusko County, District 2; Jasper County, District 3; Huntington County, District 4; Hamilton County, District 6; Clay County, District 7; Shelby County, District 8; Orange County, District 9; and Harrison County, District 10.
