(Indianapolis) – Sept. 19, 2018 – Indiana Farm Bureau and the Indiana Certified Crop Adviser Program are seeking nominations for the Indiana Certified Crop Adviser of the Year Award. The award recognizes an individual for their superior service in assisting farmers in nutrient management, soil and water management, pest management and crop production.

“Farmers interact with Certified Crop Advisers to work through a variety of management options and increasing regulations,” said Justin Schneider, INFB director of state government relations. “This nomination process is a great way for farmers to recognize the advisers who help them raise their crops efficiently and responsibly.”

Each CCA of the Year nomination requires a nomination form and three letters of recommendation. One letter must come from the CCA’s employer and two from customers. If the CCA is self-employed, all three letters may be submitted by customers.

The nominator that submits the winning application will receive $250. To be eligible, the nominator must not be the nominee’s employer. The CCA winner will receive a prize of $1,500. Nominations must be received by INFB by Oct. 31, 2018. Past recipients and current Indiana CCA board members are not eligible.
