Find your voice in the 2018 farm bill

Seldom does a day go by that I don’t think about how different the farm economy is today than it was when the 2014 farm bill was written. Indications from Purdue tell us that the next four to five years will continue to be difficult and lean. Our industry is at a serious crossroads, which requires us to look at the farm bill through a much different lens than we did four years ago.

American agriculture is very diverse, encompassing many different commodity and regional interests. In this national debate, it is critical that Indiana Farm Bureau represent and advocate for positions that work for Indiana farmers. In order for that to happen, we are reaching out to you, our members, to get your input and find out what issues are priorities.

To put ourselves in the best possible position going forward, we must find our voice in the farm bill discussion. In this insert, you will find background information on several key aspects of the farm bill. I ask you to consider these items and provide feedback on what issues are most important to your farm and your family.
