Information from Gov. Eric Holcomb

Gov. Eric Holcomb and public health officials are continuing to monitor the spread of COVID-19. The governor’s office in conjunction with the Indiana State Health Department update www.coronavirus.in.gov daily. This website provides information, announcements and resources regarding COVID-19. 

Agriculture

The list of resources below will provide information on topics such as H-2A, direct to consumer and general updates relating to agriculture.

  • Information is consistently being updated on the INFB website and the INFB Facebook page.
  • INFB created a list of members who sell protein directly to consumers: www.infb.org/connectconsumers
  • USDA expanded the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program. The new application period lasts until December 11, 2020.  Click here to learn more and apply.
  • INFB, Purdue University, Indiana Grown and other organizations have compiled guidelines for farmers markets to follow during this time.
  • Purdue University created a guide to help local producers who market directly to Hoosiers.
  • USDA created a list of FAQs and ag-related responses to COVID-19: www.usda.gov/coronavirus
  • American Farm Bureau Federation: www.fb.org/issues/impact-of-covid-19-on-agriculture
  • The Indiana State Board of Animal Health has compiled some resources here.
  • Cornell University's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences has compiled an extensive list of resources for the food industry.

Business

These resources provided by state and federal agencies are designed to help with business and tax questions, general advice and how to apply for loans.

  • The Indiana State Department of Health has created a document of Guidance for Businesses and Employers
