Indiana Farm Bureau’s policy is developed through an intricate process of grassroots involvement leading to the adoption of a substantive policy book that addresses a wide variety of issues.
While all the issues in the policy book remain important to Farm Bureau, the board of directors has identified the issues of the highest priority, and the issues for the 2014 General Assembly are listed on this page. They were chosen as priority items based on:
- Potential impact on Indiana agriculture and Farm Bureau members.
- Potential for setting a precedent that could have a significant effect on agriculture.
- Likelihood that the topic will become an issue in the upcoming legislative session.
On this page is a list of the priorities, along with some session goals that can be used to help members think about the issues raised and also how to talk about these issues with their legislators.
