Harry L. Pearson Outstanding Leader Scholarship



The Harry L. Pearson Outstanding Leader Scholarship is open to incoming Purdue University freshmen, as well as current students in the School of Agriculture.

To be eligible, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Be an Indiana resident
  • Be taking a program of study in agriculture education, agriculture communications, agriculture economics or animal sciences
  • Have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4-point scale

A minimum of four $1,000 scholarships will be awarded, one for each of the four majors listed above. Recipients will be selected on the basis of demonstration of leadership skills and leadership potential, with a preference for candidates who have demonstrated leadership skills in 4-H and/or FFA.
