Clinton County Farm Bureau to be recognized for ag trivia game
An interactive game created by members of the Clinton County Farm Bureau has been selected for County Activities of Excellence recognition by the American Farm Bureau Federation.
“We are thrilled that ‘Reap What You Know’ is getting national attention,” said Paul Dorsey, Clinton County Farm Bureau president. “A lot of time and work was put into the game, from programming to finding the right questions and answers. We’ve had great reviews locally and we’re happy to share the idea with others.”
“Reap What You Know” uses Nintendo Wii remotes to answer agriculture-based trivia questions. Aaron Pedigo, who created the game with help from his wife, Stacey, credits using the familiar gaming system with some of the trivia game’s success.
“People of all ages immediately recognize the remotes and instantly want to play the game,” he said.
The game has appeared at the Commodity Classic in Tampa, the Clinton County 4-H Fair, and in some classrooms around the county through the county Farm Bureau’s Ag in the Classroom program.
Members of Clinton County Farm Bureau will travel to Honolulu in January to exhibit the game at the AFBF annual meeting. Clinton County was one of 25 from across the country to be selected for the CAE program. The program recognizes and shares successful county Farm Bureau programs and activities.
