Indiana Certified Crop Adviser of the Year Award nominations sought
Nominations are being sought for the Indiana Certified Crop Adviser of the Year Award.
The award, offered by Indiana Farm Bureau and the Indiana Certified Crop Adviser program, recognizes a certified crop adviser who delivers exceptional customer service, is highly innovative, is a leader in the field and has contributed substantially to the exchange of the ideas and the transfer of knowledge within the ag industry.
To be considered for the Indiana Certified Crop Adviser Award, a CCA must be certified in Indiana and nominated by a county Farm Bureau, an active Farm Bureau member or by the employer of the CCA who knows of the nominee’s qualifications.
The award will be presented at the Indiana Certified Crop Adviser Conference, Dec. 20-21 in Indianapolis. The winner will also be submitted to the Indiana CCA Board for consideration for the International CCA Award.
In order to be considered, applications must include the nomination form and three letters of recommendation. One letter must be from the CCA’s employer and two letters from customers. If the CCA is self-employed, all of the letters may come from customers.
The winner will receive a $1,500 cash prize. If he or she is nominated by a county Farm Bureau, the county will also receive $250. The winning CCA’s employer will be awarded three complimentary registrations to the Indiana CCA conference, which will be valid for the next three years.
Nominations must be received by IFB by Oct. 31. A link to the application can be found on IFB’s website, www.infarmbureau.org, under the links tab as an ag information source. If you have questions, please contact Bob Cherry at 317-692-7809 or rcherry@infarmbureau.org.
