Farm Bureau PAC endorses Perfect for Indiana Senate district 43
Indiana Farm Bureau ELECT, the political action committee of Indiana Farm Bureau, has endorsed Chip Perfect in the primary race for Indiana Senate District 43.
The district encompasses all or part of Dearborn, Jennings, Ripley, Decatur, Bartholomew, Jackson and Ohio counties. Because Indiana Farm Bureau’s PAC is grassroots-driven, it is more complicated than most. With the ELECT endorsement, candidates have made it through the multi-step process to gain the organization’s support.
Perfect is running for the seat currently held by Sen. Johnny Nugent, who is retiring.
“We are pleased to endorse Chip Perfect for Indiana Senate District 43,” said Megan Ritter, director of public policy for Indiana Farm Bureau. “As a former ag education teacher with a degree in agriculture from Purdue University, a farm owner and father to 3 kids who achieved 10 years each in 4-H, candidate Perfect understands the importance agriculture to Indiana. The primary endorsement of Chip Perfect by IFB ELECT is recognition of his support of policy priorities for agriculture, farm families and rural Indiana.”
Indiana Farm Bureau is the state’s largest farm organization, with 270,000 members including 70,000 farmer members throughout the state.
