Farm Bureau PAC endorses Niemeyer for Indiana Senate district 6
Indiana Farm Bureau ELECT, the political action committee of Indiana Farm Bureau, has endorsed Rick Niemeyer in the primary race for Indiana Senate District 6.
The district encompasses all or part of Benton, Lake and Newton counties. Because Indiana Farm Bureau’s PAC is grassroots-driven, it is more complicated than most. With the ELECT endorsement, candidates have made it through the multi-step process to gain the organization’s support.
“We are pleased to endorse Rick Niemeyer for Indiana Senate District 6,” said Megan Ritter, director of public policy for Indiana Farm Bureau. “We look forward to working with him in his tenure in the Indiana Senate.” Niemeyer is running for the seat currently filled by Sen. Sue Landske, who is retiring.
“Candidate Niemeyer understands the importance of agriculture to Indiana,” Ritter added. “The primary endorsement of Rick Niemeyer by IFB ELECT is recognition of his support of policy priorities for agriculture, farm families and rural Indiana.”
Indiana Farm Bureau is the state’s largest farm organization, with 270,000 members including 70,000 farmer members throughout
