Kevin Ousley of Whitley County becomes IFB District 2 director
Columbia City farmer Kevin Ousley is the newest member of the Indiana Farm Bureau Board of Directors. Ousley represents District 2, which includes Elkhart, Lagrange, Steuben, Kosciusko, Noble, DeKalb, Whitley and Allen counties.
As a district director, Ousley’s role is to help oversee the state’s largest farm organization with approximately 264,000 member families, in addition to Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance Companies.
With his wife and three children, Ousley operates a farm which raises Jersey dairy feeder steers, Berkshire hogs, chickens, turkeys, corn, soybeans, wheat, hay, straw, pumpkins and sweet corn.
Previous to being elected to the state board of directors, Ousley served on the Whitley County Farm Bureau board as both president and vice president. Outside of his Farm Bureau involvement, Ousley enjoys supporting local FFA and 4-H chapters. He also owns his own business, Ousley’s Bookkeeping and Tax Services, and is a part time pastor for Coesse and Jefferson Chapel United Methodist Churches.
“I serve God, my family and Farm Bureau,” Ousley said. “It is an honor to do all three.”
