Tippecanoe County farmers Neil and Tashney Moseley, owners of Pleasant Acre Farms, are expanding their offerings to Purdue University football games.

During all home games, the Moseleys will sell a variety of goods from a concession stand in Ross-Ade Stadium. Fans can also enjoy fresh items from their grill outside of Ross-Ade Stadium, on the northeast side.

“We are excited to see some of our local farmers partnering with Levy Catering and Purdue Athletics to bring the Farm-to-Fork concept to Ross-Ade Stadium,” said Jay Akridge, Purdue's Glenn W. Sample Dean of Agriculture. “Boilermaker fans can enjoy some great tasting Indiana products, and learn a bit more about this growing part of Indiana agriculture.”

Pleasant Acre Farms’ menu includes a brat burger on a pretzel bun with sauerkraut and thousand island dressing; corn on the cob; a bowl of roasted red potatoes with cheese, bacon, sour cream and chives; fresh roasted salsa and chips; slices of watermelon and kettle corn. The concession stand is located outside of Section 111, in stand C-15.

Pleasant Acre Farms, located near Clarks Hill, was established in 2009.Beginning with just one acre of production, the farm has grown to 25 acres and has plans for a commercial kitchen in the future. (Purdue 9/14/12)
