
Chris FennerChris Fenner is the Field Services Director for Indiana Farm Bureau. He has held this position since April of 2011. He has managerial responsibilities for fifteen Regional Managers across the state who work directly with county Farm Bureaus in Indiana.
He started his Farm Bureau career as a field representative for Jennings, Jefferson, Ripley, Dearborn, Ohio, and Switzerland counties, but was named leadership development/Young Farmer coordinator in February 2004.
Raised in Jennings County on a 110-cow dairy farm, Fenner is a 1994 graduate of Purdue University, where he majored in animal agribusiness and agricultural economics. He also studied agriculture and rural science at the University of New England in New South Wales, Australia, in 1993.
Chris has traveled to central Mexico in 1988, and studied agriculture in South Africa in February 2004. He graduated from the Indiana Ag Leadership Program, a two-year leadership development program for producers and people involved in the agricultural industry, in April 2004.
Before coming to Farm Bureau, he worked for Purdue University on a dairy research project with Eli Lilly studying the effects of the feed additive Monensin on cattle, and also for Country Mark Co-op in Jackson, Ohio, as a feed salesman.
He and his wife, Tanya, live in southern Marion County with their son, Samuel.
